Surely satnav's should mean the end of studying the knowledge for years.
Would there be much difference between the route a taxi driver would take vs the route suggested by the satnav? Which would be better/quicker?

No substitute for local knowledge sat nav ok but very often does not know the easiest route.Regards Mick

They'll dump "The Knowledge" as soon as the last pub shuts its doors for good. That will probably be a fortnight after Manchester United are disbanded, and a year or so after the US wins the World Cup for the third straight time.

SATNAV sucks! the knowledge is a far better system. What happens if your SATNAV breaks down? Taxi's would be lost!

The knowledge Will never be beaten by some piece of techno c*ap.
It dont give you an entertaining conversation too.

can't see it - sat nav doesnt have a *** while it doesn't have a fare filling the cab with stinking smoke, nor does it do an around the houses route to rip off visitors.

Only joking! I can't see it happening unil we get driverless cabs like that Arnie film Running Man was it?
