tips from me are.. poor you.. I really feel for you and struggling with children. I have been there done that. I even used to take in ironing... this is what i thought of... have you any friends in same situation.. well if you have.. how about a swap of jobs you don't like doing? Then, buy clothes that don't need ironing..hang them when damp and no ironing needed. if you have a weekend off.. go do your chores on fri eve..the you can sit and relax or do things with kids on either Sat or Sun.. but pick a day for yourself .. you things only..xx i wish you well it's so difficult. WELL DONE AND PAT ON BACK FROM ME

The children, no matter their age, need to begin being taught how do to household chores. Especially if there is no partner to help you out with them.
Kids can be great for sweeping, dusting Unbreakables (like the bookshelf with books) dishes, and cleaning their own room.
If you're not sure how to initiate this process, ask a neighbor of yours that has a house full of kids and a clean home to live in (and no maid, of course.)

With 3 children, it must be hard to keep a clean house. Get your children involved in house work. Maybe make a FUN COLORFUL chart and have them put stars up or paste there name up on the finished chores. Sometimes its the smallest things that can add up and help you after a long day.
Another tip is...Keep a post it up for you. Everyday find the time to clean up 1 room. Like Bathrooms (Monday) bedroom (Tuesday) Kitchen (Wednesday and Saturday) ect. If you clean 1 room a day or evening, It will never seem too over whelming.
When I was young, my mom assigned cleaning day on Saturday morning. Team work for me and my brothers. make a checklist for each kid.
make your bed
dusting
vaccumming
clean up toys
put cloths away
sweep
Of course, your goal is to teach them fundamentals. Children should be helping you out. This lesson is something they will thank you for. Make it fun...reward with icecream or cookies. Make sure if they dont do there chores you dont reward them. Its important that they learn how to help out and follow through.
Good Luck

How old are your children? If they are not too young, try to get them actively involved in the cleaning too. Wet damp rag is very good for wiping down window ledges and most surfaces - and this should be done regularly. If you have a carpet, use a broom prior to vacuuming, this prevents the brush rollers getting clogged up. Newspapers are great for getting smears off glass and mirrors. . . . If I think of any more I'll add to the list (until the question is closed).

Definitely make it a daily routine for everyone. Examples: every morning make the bed, pick up and wash dishes after every meal, do (at least) load of laundry every day (keep separate containers for darks, lights, whites, if you have the space). Get in the routine of doing certain chores like every Wednesday clean the bathroom, rotate responsibilities.
Good luck and take care.

Well, if you have no partner and can't afford a cleaner, the only thing you can really do is do it yourself. If your children are old enough, give them "special helper tasks" like cleaning up their toys, etc.

go to flylady.com, she has lots of good time-saving tips and ways to keep house without losing your mind. Pick and choose the tips that work for you...and definitely get those kids to help you. You can set up a rota for basic chores like setting/clearing the table, trash duty etc. and base their allowance on things like bed made, room tidied up, homework done, etc. If you have a lazy one in the group (like my brother), non-performance of specific tasks means he or she is "fined" a certain amount off the allowance.

What I do is while they are in the bath tub, I clean the bathroom. While they are eating I clean rooms, while they are in bed for the night, thats when I get caught up on laundry. It will be even better when they start school!!!!!

like Super Nanny says start to have the kids help - rotating chores, even little ones can help put toys away. Make it fun like a competion with praise and rewards.

The best advice I got about cleaning came when a friend handed me fly lady's book - Sink Reflections. It's a great day to fly!
