How can I get rid of a dead animal smell?

I went away for the weekend and when I came back my snake was dead. The smell was horrible. I have let my house air out for two days, but the smell is still in the wood.

Sorry about the snake. You can put containers of baking soda or vinegar around to absorb the smell.

Sam's club sells a product in the pet department called ODOBAN
and it is concentrated--about 10. per gallon.
It kills organic odors , including potty smells, urine, and other body ickies.
Really works. The best thing to remove the ammonia smell of human stuff.
