The USB adapter fits my phone and computer but won't recognize my cell phone. Do I need by buy the special cable again?

I will suggest u use your camera cable, if you have one. It model is closer to the razr than the mp3 cable. Or you could shop around for the RAZR cable or a camera cable that fits into the RAZR. I have tried it before and it worked. Otherwise, you could get a bluetooth device (USB) it's a lot easier to use than the cable.

Strange. It should work. Maybe that cable is special to the MP3 player. Go and buy a plain usb cable the fits the phone and try. Mine works great and it is generic.

Yeah you do. The mp3 cable WILL NOT work. I know because i have a Motorola Razr V3x Dolce & Gabanna Special Edition, and my MP3's cable dont work.

Does your phone use a memory card? Just put the card in a card reader. You don't need cable this way.
