Spam (in the modern vernacular) is unsolicited unwelcome communications usually of a commercial nature. Most often Spam takes the form of mass email.
This is, of course, not to be confused with the spiced meat product that has graced our grocery store shelves for decades.

SPAM is unsolicited messages. These are the e-mail messages you receive for everything from Real Estate to Viagra. Once these people have your address they mercilessly send hundreds of advertisements to your e-mail box daily.
Many advertisers offer you the opportunity to cancel their advertisements by clicking on a link at the bottom of their page. NEVER CLICK ON THAT LINK!!!!! If you do you will have confirmed that your address is valid and they will sell your address to other advertisers. When you get junk mail - just ignore it.

Spam would be like "junk mail"....advertising emails, etc. It's the annoying email that you always have to delete everyday. Hope this helps.

Spam is all the unwanted e-mails and adds your receive through your e-mail. This is what spam is.. it is a growing problem .. cause it does take from your e-mail space.
