Oh yeah! Especially Atchafalaya River catfish from Louisiana...they are the BEST!
Squeeze a little lemon juice on them and eat 'em up...tartar sauce not required (but a good option!)

i live by the biggest lake in kansas, and my dad always catches big catfish in the summertime to fry up! We make them in beer batter....so good, pan fried. And no tartar sauce....it totally kills the taste!

try adding some cajun spice to the batter and using remoulade instead of tartar sauce........now that is good stuff!!
