I was wondering if any women went through it after their hysterectomy too. Its been about 8 weeks and every now and then I feel like the incision inside me is not healed although it is and it feels like my insides are being burned really bad or at least it hurts really bad.

the doctor said everything healed up fine when I went in for my post operation appointment 2 weeks ago ( I was told then to wait 2 more weeks to have sex which I did)

I just had my cervix and uterus removed. he said there was no need for hormones since my ovaries are still in (those are what has the female hormone in them and helps the female produce hormones) I was told to wait 8 weeks which I did. He said the stitches inside were dissolved

Brandy give yourself more time. You're suppose to wait atleast 6 weeks anyway. that is a HUGE trama to your body. If that incision continues ro bother you see your doctor. I ended up with a bad infection in my incision and had to be opened back up part of the way...bad experience, and had to be packed until it healed from inside out. Was out of work 3 long Months. Please be very careful tell your man he will just have to understand. Don't hurt yourself. Good Luck Brandy feel better soon!

8 weeks actually isn't that long. Even though you may be healed by all appearance, your body is still repairing tissue and trauma at the cellular level. I'm not surprised that you're still experiencing pain. Also, did you have your ovaries out with the hysterectomy? Or just the uterus? If one or both ovaries were removed, it is common to experience pain due to dryness and hormonal changes. Give it more time but also put your doc on notice that you really expect some support and help by way of treatment options (i.e., HRT if necessary). Good luck.

This sounds like something you should talk with your doctor about. I know regular healing time is 4-6 weeks. I would go in for a recheck.

Could be some scar tissue from the operation that is causing the pain.
