It should include understanding what you memorize. Memory will be insufficient without understanding. Like, ok, you memorize a song -- it's already in your head and you can even sing it in freestyle... but do you actually understand what the song was about?

I disagree.
I think that your memory can help, but it really just shows how good you are at spitting out useless information. If you have a good memory, and are able to think for yourself and generate new ideas, you are way smarter than someone that only ha a good memory
