I would have to agree with you. I would like to experience the free feeling of being in love for the first time. I had no fear of being hurt then or how the relationship would end up. It was just a feeling of happiness without a care in the world.
I wonder if that's is ever possible to experience again..............
(Good question.)

If we're talking about not being able to change the outcome, just the pure experience of it, I would have to say the trip I made to Budapest when I was a high school exchange student in the Czech republic. I was so young, and it was with a group of two guys and two other girls my age. One of them was my first head-over-heels unrequited love/crush. It all felt very adult, and at an age where adult meant free of supervision, curfews, and responsibilities.

The amazement of an amusement park when you are a child...I am lucky; I grew up near Disneyland...and all the colors, excitement, noise, and movement...and I think of Neil Young's lyric:
Oh to live on
Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons
You can't be twenty
On Sugar Mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Remember red, real red, when you were a child? And cotton candy, and clear blue skies before Eden was infiltrated with cliques and pointing fingers and 100 degree fevers and the careless lust of vindictive teenagers in the back seats of cars? Remember whipped-creamy birthday cakes, and sparkling Christmas trees, barbecues in the 4th of July with exploding incandesent magic like electric weeping willows in the sky and, finally, that first chaste kiss? And speaking of electric (yes I will show my age), Hendrix and Page and Van Halen and Slash and...sweet Jesus, Stevie Ray Vaughan exploding into the ether of eternity over a midwestern sky...and hot-rodded Chevys on an eternal boulevard...Pacific Coast Highway at dusk, waves and...how I wish they all could be California girls...those California Girls who took me so many times with grins and tans and bleached hair, with wind blowing across the sand and fires crackling their approval, wave crash and dream and Pacifric Coast Highway...this is my stream of consciousness...

I went to England when I was 14 years old to meet my family there for the first time. For some reason, as soon as I got of the train I fell to the moist, rich smelling river bank and embraced it like I had finally, finally come home. I was giddy with pleasure.

I'd like to experience my first time arriving in Italy again. I was in awe over the whole landscape and culture. I'll never forget walking along the street to the bus stop to catch the next bus to get to my first apartment in Rome and seeing Piazza Venezia. It was amazing!

To be "born returned" is the the soul being released from the physique. The physique has died. The first day of my Senior year was pretty cool.
The first time I turned 21 wasn't too bad either.
Sex? You're right it sucked the first time.
