Get in touch with a local Realtor. They often times have clients that might need new ones. As long as they're still in working order, someone may even need it for a rental unit?

Or you could always try philadelphia.craigslist.org - and post it there for free or trade for something you might need?

Also check with your local utility provider. In my area, they will pick them up and give you a rebate in effort to promote energy efficiency. If they are still working, you might try the Salvation Army, AmVets, St Vincent de Paul shelters or domestic violence shelters.

Check with your local animal shelter. They often need things like this. Or, post a listing on freecycle.org. Someone might need one, but can't afford to buy.
