up to 14 wk it is at the level of symphysis pubis.
16 wk midway between P.S and umbilicus
24 wk at the level of umbilicus
and if we divide the distance between umbilicus an xiphisternum bone in equal 3 parts then
lower 1/3----28 weeks
lower 2/3----32 weeks
just above xiphisternum----36 weeks
At 40 weeks the fundal height of uterus comes down but flanks are full.
So,at 5 months the height of uterus is just above midway, between symphysis pubis and umbilicus.

If you are visiting your doctor and they say that everything is okay don't worry about it. It will come. I was like that with my first child( I have 2). When I got pregnant I weighed 117 lbs. At 5 months, I was about 126lbs. But when I had that boy I weighed 187lbs. He only weighed 6lbs7oz. So what does that tell you? The rest of that was all me and it took me almost a year to loose that weigh. So don't worry abuot it, it will come. And if it doesn't and the baby is healthy, consider yourself blessed. There are several possiblities. First is that its your first baby and you tend not to show untill your about 7 mos. Then everything starts to grow. Second is that you might be a petite woman and usual women with a small figure doesnt show. My first baby I didnt show untill i was 7 mos and it was all baby. my second and third boy!!!!!!it really showed I didn't have time to loose any baby fat that ooopps Here come the next one. Don't worry its ok not to show yet

ok my mom had 6 of us and did not show for none of us when she went into labor with one of my brothers they where telling her she was crazy that it was inposable .Becouse she did not even show. they thought she was haing a miscarige until her doctor got there and asked them why they did not have her ready to deliver...lol Some women cary there babies more towards there back i did with my son . No one new i was pregnant till the end of my pregnancy where i showed just a little bit evyone thought i was like 3 months. then a month later i had my son. Dont worry you are fine and atleast you can still where your cute summer clothes.

You lucky skunk!! I have a cousin that was like that! Even up until the day she delivered she barely had a bump!! the baby was born perfectly healthy though, so i wouldn't worry. You dr may put you on a higher calorie diet if he is concerned, but really i wouldn't worry. I think you are so lucky, i got a HUGE tummy with my last tow, small with my first, aaahhh those were the days!

First of all the idiot who wrote in miscarriage apparently knows nothing about pregnancy, I am 33 weeks pregnant and up until about 2 months ago you couldn't even tell i was pregnant and even now people don't believe that I am 33 weeks, so don't worry about it its perfectly normal, but trust me its like it just hits you overnight. If this is your first pregnancy dont worry it may take a bit more time to start showing. I was showing by my 5th month though but I am a small framed and small built woman.

thats ok I was the same way, i really didnt show till I was 7mons and I still had a small tummy my baby was only 5 pound 15 oz. He was still healthy so not to worry

give it time yet between now and 7 months you will show, but it sounds like you will be cute and fit pregnant, thats the best way to be!
