the gov't wants to go to the latoni river 12-15 miles in lebanon rockets go 43 miles or more whats the point? the policy of shooting bad guys surrounded by civilians seems to me if our police force did that there would be lots of complants from the public.

They don't want a repeat of the past. It is a very difficult situation and all israelis just want to live in peace.

Probably because they think that the HezBULLies have most/all of their weapons in that area. The Israelis will be watching closely at movements north of the Latoni. They won't let the HezBULLies move lots of stuff north.
This, of course, supposes that the peace-keepers will stop the shipment of arms from 'I Rant' and 'Cereal'.
