I don't know but I absolutely hate that expression. I think my blood literally boils every time I hear someone say it. Making love is another annoying one but its not quite as bad as "sleep together". You would think in a country that has experienced a so called sexual revolution people wouldn't be afraid to use the expression "have sex".

So very simple, normally the legal act of sex is performed in the comforts of a cozy bedroom. To derive more pleasure more time has to be spent on foreplay. This could well be done in lying position and in fact most of the couples like this to a convenient way, hence people say "sleep with" when referring to having sex.

Having Sex, 'Making love' are Euphemistically referred to 'as sleeping with'
Generally people go to bed to have sex in a non-hurried manner enjoying it slowly, step-by-step working up toward the final Orgasm (explosion).
So, people use the VAGUE / UNCLEAR WORD to take the sharp edge of that hurting term 'Having SEX'. In Public, they can use 'sleep with' euphemistically
Why not they show themselves a better person than they actually are?

Curious, isn't is, because that is absolutely what they are NOT doing.
It's just one of the circumlocutions we use when we would blush to say what we're really talking about.
Today, there's no big deal about saying someone is having sex, but fifty years ago, or a hundred years ago, people were not that open about anything to do with sex, bedrooms or intimate relations.

They say 'sleep with' because typically, you don't sleep next to a person of the opposite sex without something sexual occuring. Also, the majority of people who have sex sleep next to the person they had sex with.
I think that made more sense in my head.

i think of we are lacking something needed approximately Jesus applying the term 'sheep' for believers if we don't comprehend that the shepherds in Jesus place and time led their sheep, they weren't rounded up and pushed. The sheep observed their shepherd because of the fact they depended on him and the sheep- fold represents a secure place the place the shepherd has led his sheep. So are we in a secure place while we make Jesus the coolest Shepherd of our life there is likewise the tale of the shepherd who is going out over the moors to locate the lost sheep. there are various sheep-like features in all people, some greater suitable than others, for many save on with modern-day developments without checking and asking themselves no count if it extremely is a outstanding element and is there a greater perfect way? it is so obvious in woman vogue --one has white - or black nails -so does each and every physique else - One has crimson hair and so dyes each and every person else - vogue says black tights and intensely short skirts are the element - yet some have very fat wobbly thighs and a few are boney-legged and knock- choose! some ladies seem surely dreadful with modern-day fashions yet they're so vogue--suggestions-washed that they are completely blind to how gruesome or maybe comical they seem! they might die with marvel in the event that they concept they gave the effect of clown!

Perhaps because when you have sex with your partner, if it is good sex, your tired after and usually fall asleep. Not such a good answer, but the only thing I can think of at this moment.

It is a little more refined to say sleep with than they're doing the nasty.

It is just a little more polite way of saying it. Saying we had sex is a little blunt and maybe make some people uncomfortable.
