Can anyone give me secrets or tips on playing "Virtual Villagers"?

I just started playing it and it seems impossible to get tech points! Any tips or secrets will be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi! Not sure if you already got the answers you need but there's no "secret" tips to play, you NEED alot of patience.
Depending on where you are at you have to place the villagers on the table all the time to gain tech point so you can buy knowledge. If your food is running low, place a child on any mushrooms and it will help with food. You have to look really hard for them. It does not stay around long so be fast!
Keep the villagers on the table and the tech points will add up. But don't forget to keep an eye on your food because it will run low.

I started last week and it is a very fun addicting game isn't it? Tech points will come (trust me) and the secret seems to be in the scientist keep taking him back to the things you want him to achieve over and over , he will eventually latch on (hint the plants and all seem to give him the best scientific study) Have fun I know I do, I LOVE it!!!
