It hurts when I press off my feet going sideways. The injury is on the outside of my knee. heavy contact with the ground causes a sharp, constant pain when I walk. And it feels loose at certain points. My friend tore his pcl and I hope that I didn't tear anything. what would be the best route to follow to heal myself without medical care. thank you for all your help and time.

You need to use RICE.

R - Rest
I - Ice
C - Compress
E - Elevate
