sum r but sum tymes im not even payin attention to the lyrics and sum tymes i just don't care if they r there not about me its about who ever the rapper kno's he's talkin about but sum do get offesive but i styll lyke rap and hip hop

I know that sometimes it is meant in fun and that it is not necessarily the opinion of the artist. However, I do think that the attitude of disrespect toward women is more widespread in people who listen to hip hop and rap. (I am not saying everyone is like this!!!!) I think as people listen to it, it just becomes easy to use some of the terms or to become more comfortable with the attitudes toward women.

It's offencive to me, so I ignore it. I try and pretend that the objectifying of women isn't happening, and that we haven't been set back after years of working for our rights and an equal place in the world.
