when i was a little kid i lived with my dad and step-mom. my dad would go to work and my step-mother would lock me in my room. i used to get the sh*t beaten out of me. i would go to school and they would see all the bruises and they called CPS. well, CPS came out and said thier aint nothing wrong here. well i would go to school a few days later and have more markings on me and CPS was called again and AGAIN CPS said there aint nothing wrong. WELL, MY QUESTION IS, WHY DO CPS NOT PROTECT THE CHILDREN THAT NEED PROTECTION?

Assuming the state in your name is correct, this is also the same place that decided Andrea Yates was sane enough to look after her five kids. Your freaking state has a social services problem. You might want to check out what you can do to fix it.

I agree with you. I used to get beat by my mother's ex-boyfriend. My mother was in the house when this happened and she didn't do anything. I went to school with bruises all the time and CPS never did anything about it even though they knew.I have a cousin who has four children and CPS was called on her about six times. She took her four year old to the doctors and they found out she was being sexually abused and then they intervened. They took all the kids out of the situation then but that could have been prevented a few years earlier. I think that CPS needs to rethink how they do their work. It is very ineffective. I am sorry for what you went through and you should have been taken out of there before that. I think they should rethink their system or come up with a new one that actually works.

because they're too busy screwing with the ones that don't. I had just the opposite situation. I was hit by a car when I was 8. My arm was broken. Before my mom could get me to the hospital, CPS was called by someone (we think it was my grandma) and told that my mom was beating me in the front yard with a bat and that's why my arm was broken. They almost took me from my mom, cause they wouldn't believe me. We had many, many instances where CPS filed against my mom, and luckily we were never taken away. None of the instances were true, by the way. My mom never laid a hand on me or my sisters. So, CPS has their priorities all wrong.

It could be the state that you are in. Here in Va, social services tries to uphold family on the pedastal and does not tear the child away so easily from the parents. One must have so much proof there is abuse happening...Va don't believe in breaking up families. It has happened recently, but I think its the state law/policies thats the problem.

Because thay are rude ple that don't care about those ple that are being abused and stuff like that and I feel like you should tell your dad the truth or if you have some relitives maybe if you know there number than call them and let them know and ask them if you can live with them or call 911 on her ok try to keep your self safe!
