It depends on how by the book your local cops are. If you use a weapon you might end up in jail right next to the guy stealing your ****. But if you just use your hands you can tell cops he starting fighting you when you confronted him so you beat his ***. This day and age be very careful not only of the laws against hurting someone, but that person you catch stealing or whatever may respond to the confrontation with a gun. So the saying , "Dont bring a knife to a gunfight" may apply, so if you are legal to own a handgun and live in a stae that does not practice the same laws as the nazis, buy and carry a gun, just know how to use it and be responsible.

Only allowed legally if you feel you are threatened and they have the intent and capability and opportunity to cause serious bodily harm or death to you. They still give them the chance for a trial so some technicality might get them off so they can go out and do it again. But there is always that chance that they will run into the wrong person who will end their miserable lives for them

If anyone breaks into my house when me and my kids are home they will get a good helpin of 9mm. I cant take the chance someone may try to kill us and sorry but I would shoot someone for breaking in you betcha!

That's new? I always thought that was legal? Breaking and entering on private property is causes for self-defense...especially if you feel threatened, which most people do.
