aol are crap. cancel now, because you will have to cancel 5 times before they start getting the point. if they don't stop, a letter from a solicitor works wonders. type aol into www.urbandictionary.com to see that you're not alone

AOL is absolutely insane. They put so many fees on the bill, it is absurd. It is also practically impossible to cancel or get customerservice. Im thinking that you already know that because if they told me that i would cuss them out on customer service hah. If you are forceful enough they will probably waive. But yea they people on hold for hours and wire you to India, where they run you around in circles but they are really scared of getting fired, so they will do anything to make you stay with AOL (offer free 100 hours and all that bull). I hated it so much, so much patience. I heard the best route is too threaten to call the better business bereau on them and they will work faster. Good luck, better switch providers anyways. i recommend NetScape if you want to stay with dial-up because it is cheap.

Nope, I never paid AOL. Had it for free for about 2 yrs before they finally figured that out. AOL isn't a great company, cancel it and get DSL - it's only mildly more expensive.

I'm pretty sure you aren't paying in cash, so there has to be some sort of proof you've been paying. Get all the info you can and make copies. Keep the originals and send the copies to AOL (call and ask who to attention them to). Mail them thru the Post Office and ask for a proof of delivery. It will be signed, therefore letting you know they got it.

You need a different internet service provider. AOL always does that nonsense to people.

No, I have never been cheated because I heard all the horror stories & went with a local server who has never let me down!
Good service, excellent spam features, webmail, without going to yahoo (sorry yahoo!) or someplace else.

Companies make mistakes but I can't believe that they cheated you on purpose. That would be a criminal act.
