Are there any wishes for taking care of other without thinking of ourselves first ?

Although I am not religious, prayer is supposed to be the time where one reflects on people other than ourselves and consider their needs over our own. Although I agree that those who pray may in fact be serving their own needs by scoring brownie points with Jesus for being good!

There were many examples of that on September 11 but not these days. i think unless something tragic happens or it's Christmas people are pretty selfish.
