Depends on your comfort level and use

Apple has been well known for its use with Adobe products and Music editing. Apples OS is partially based on Linux and has more proprietary components than PCs. At this time it is probably easier to run pc programs on a mac rather than the other way around, but that may change it apple makes its OS more open for X86 cores

But other wise what you can do on a mac you can do on PC

Only an Apple computer can run Windows AND Mac OS X.
Apple stock is rocketing, Dell stock is crashing - I wouldn't risk buying a Dell.

Windows have a much simpler format, if you have always used windows, then I advise you to continue to use windows...unless you are ready to learn something COMPLETELY new and outside of your box. Generally I like Dell's better than Mac's!
