honestly i have no idea wether he will do good or bad job, in fact it's better for one person shoot sequels. pay attention to termonator 3 - new director new actors, in comparison with first two parts it's just stupid, because it'd be better not to shoot it at all than to make it with new crew, as it seems to be entirely different movie, as directors imagine it all differently. though in case of harry potter, if we observe from commercial point of view new director brough new success. so you can hope that this work will be good too.

My list of the books worst to best is: 7. The Chamber of Secrets - boring and predictable 6. The Sorcerer's Stone - too short but not terrible 5. The Prisoner of Azkaban - although great it is the only book that Voldemort does not make an appearance in 4. The Half-Blood Prince - a lot of romance and drama, plus it reveals the origins of Lord Voldemort 3. The Goblet of Fire - entertaining with a lot of action and plot twists 2. The Deathly Hallows - awesome especially with all the magical items and incredible plot 1. The Order of the Phoenix - rich and full of drama and action, plus introduces a new cast of enemies Now, the movies: 8. The Prisoner of Azkaban - the plot is not in line with the book 7. The Goblet of Fire - too much was left out or changed from the book 6. The Half-Blood Prince - they should have put in more scenes explaining Voldemort's past 5. The Sorcerer's Stone - saw this movie when I was a kid and loved it, a good start to a movie franchise 4. The Chamber of Secrets - though the book is boring, the movie is not bad because it has good action 3. The Order of the Phoenix - amazing action and graphics plus a great plot and full of drama 2. The Deathly Hallows Part 1 - breathtaking graphics and action, plus that Horcrux scene is SO epic 1. The Deathly Hallows Part 2 - an amazing plot and that final battle between Harry and Voldemort is SO freakin' awesome!

I didn't see the first 3 Harry Potter movies. But I thought I'd see the fourth just to find out what the big deal was. Now that I've seen the fourth movie I'm still asking, "What's the big deal?"
It's the same thing with Lord of the Rings. What's the big deal with that?
I don't think it's going to effect anyone's life much if the next Harry Potter is the best movie ever made or worse than the first four HPs.

I honestly can't say, I've never seen anything he's directed. However, I really haven't liked a Harry Potter movie since Chris Columbus left. He stayed as true the books as you can get. Mike Newell did a good job with Goblet of Fire, but I really couldn't stand Prisoner of Azkaban. I hated how Alfonso changed the castle all around (I mean what was with the Gryffindor Common Room entrance being in the middle of the staircase?) And then he completely modified the ending. I definitely think Peter Jackson should direct one. He would be awesome.

I'm not sure if he will do well. But i think the first directer is the best so far. It would be better if Stephen Spielberg or Peter Jackson took the job.
