my husband was off for 2 weeks with us. It was great because we got to know our new daughter together and spend some family time together.

My husband is planning on taking off 2 or 3 weeks and I am taking 2 or 3 months. We havent decided exactly yet how much time we will be able to take but that is the plan. He wants to be home with me and the baby making the bond in our family stronger. He wants to be there every minute for the first few weeks of our childs life. (first for both of us) and he wants me to be able to get some sleep when i'm not feeding the baby!!

I took 17 weeks off and my husband took two weeks off. His boss was a witch and kept calling him and asking him to work on things at home. Our baby is now a few days short of turning seven months old, and my husband is going to take the rest of his family leave (four weeks) starting next week. This was possible only because my husband complained to upper managment about his rights. The funny thing is that after his leave is up, he's quitting along with five other people in his department. His boss is now stressed because all her people have just put in their notices.

My husband was off two weeks for the birth of both of our children. It was nice having him home especially with the second one because our daughter had a hard time adjusting to having a baby brother at first and having her daddy around helped.

I took a week off work after my wife had our baby. We felt that was all the income we could afford to go without. My wife is really strong and was able to take care of the baby after I went back to work.

My husband was only able to take 2 weeks off. I had 12 weeks off. One week after returning to work, we decided that daycare was the wrong choice for us, so I gave notice. My husband took another 2 weeks off to watch our daughter so that I could finish up.

My hubby took off work for two weeks. He could have taken longer if he would have taken Family Medical Leave but I was on bed rest before we had our daughter for 3 months, so unfortunately he had to go back to work so soon so we could still have an income coming in.

I took off 2 weeks for my first child.
FMLA allows up to 12 weeks unpaid, and some states 16 week unpaid, like Connecticut (Liberal State), but 12 weeks only in North Carolina (Conservative uncaring state)

My husband took all his vacation and personal days. It was only 10 days total, but that meant a lot to me. He took care of our oldest four and our newborn so I could recover from a bad c- section. He was great. He has taken time off for all of our kids.
Wish he would have when we got married.
