I used to use a heating pad, but then I went on the pill because having my period was so painful (my cramps were so bad that I would throw up). Going on the pill helped TREMENDOUSLY, and the cramps do get better as you get older. The pill also helped to regulate my period. So if you seriously want to get rid of cramps, see your doctor about the pill. If not, try a heating pad and midol (but if the cramps are as bad as mine were, see your doctor). Hope this helps! :)

Naproxen Sodium - or Aleve helps mine better than Ibupropen and beleive it or not EXERSIZE - I know you don't feel like it - take a walk or run, and stay away from FATTY FRIED FOODS, salty - sugary (I know the things we CRAVE like crazy!) drink plenty of water - steer clear of CAFFINE - eat lots of freash fruits and vegies and whole grains - chicken and fish! It will help, Probably NOT take them away COMPLETELY, that would be wonderful - but alievete the pain some - and just make you FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF and IN GENERAL! Good Luck!

Try taking midol, use a heating pad while taking OTC (over the counter) meds like ibuprofen, also you can talk to your doctor about getting meds but also let the doctor make sure its not something like PID or endometriosis you can also exercise or rest.

Midol worked great for me and also a heating pad on my stomach at night. You can also get the heated pads that stick to your tummy during the day they were a life saver while i was working.

i know it sounds awful, but you have to move around, seems like it would make it worse doesnt it? walk around a little, clean the house or something, if you sit still, it will get worse, sometimes i like taking a hot bath, that helps tremendously.
