Yes, it is very easy to get a hotel room here in the Philippines. There are so many hotels here catering to different classes that you really need to decide which one you want. You can always ask your taxi driver to bring you to a hotel either in Makati or Manila area where hotels are plenty and very close to each other. I would advice booking or researching ahead of time though since you don't really to want to get stuck at some seedy hotel or overpaying for a room when you couldn't gotten a bargain booking online. Here are a few links you can use:

Its easy to get a hotel upon arrival but your well adviced to book your hotel in advance as 'Walk in' rates are much higher than prebooked (as much at 50%).

When im in Manila I tend to stay at the Grand Hyatt on Roxas Blvd, I once stayed at the Swagman hotel on advice from a friend but would not stay there again, best hotel I ever stayed in Manila was the Manila Diamond hotel, but it had only been open a couple of weeks at the time that I stayed.

Well it depends on the season, if its summer time here in Manila, you can expect that the hotels are full. However, if you plan to come over during the lean months you can easily get a confirmation when you book your hotel at the airport.

Yes. There are a lot of hotels around so you have so many choices. It's pretty rare that a hotel gets 100% fully booked. But, if you're unlucky and it happens don't worry. Just check into the next one.

Manila is the easiest place to book a hotel. If you know anyone in town, have him check in for you so you'll get the local rate. It's cheaper that way.
