All these names are lovely, except for Rhiannon and Jude. Jude is OK, but it makes me think of Jude the Obscure, by Thomas Hardy, which was a relentlessly tragic novel. Rhiannon just makes me think of Stevie Nicks in a gauzy skirt looking kind of silly and self-important.

The others, Julia, Emily and Lucy, and Daniel and James, are just nice names no matter what.

I would add Lola for a girl (Kinks). Maybe John (Not Now John, Pink Floyd). Or how about Gunner (Gunner's Dream, Pink Floyd). Oooh, Isis (Bob Dylan)! OK, that's even sillier than Rhiannon. Actually, Rhiannon is starting to grow on me--it's kind of pretty.

Good luck!

I like Jude for a boy. What about Stella for a girl. That name is mentioned in Lucy in the Sky w/ Diamonds and Stella is Paul McCartney's daughter's name. Here are a few more:

Janie - Aerosmith
Gloria - Doors
Michele - Beatles

The girls names are fine, except for Lucy, Lucy in the Sky with diamonds is all about tripping on LSD so I would avoid that one. I love singing hey Jude to my son and I love the names Daniel and James I just am not to fond of their common nicknames, Danny or Jimmy. Good Luck

I like Julia (I considered it for girl names when I was pregnant) I LOVE the Beatles "Julia" song. It's just so beautiful, which is why I considered that name.

I like the name James, too. I don't know the song, but it was also a name that I considered ...actually, I considered Daniel, too!!!

Well, Emily is my fave since that's my 7 yr old daughter's name. She's Emily Christine.

I've always thought Jude was a totally cool name, but I like James too.

Lets see I like the Beatles, they are one of my favorite groups, so I like Julia for a girls name. And for a boy I like James, Billy Joel is my favorite from the 3 choices you gave.
