I would recommend making the elephant into a drugs-mule rather than killing it for ivory. Can you imagine how much gear you could get through customs in one of those fat-boys?!!

It makes better sense to steel pianos and accordians, and pull the ivory keys off of them, for re-sale to animal rights specialists that make artificial tusks for elephants that were the victims of violent crimes.
