and take the acting for film programm if i do take will i be steps away from getting into the world of hollywood?

Many actors have come out of the program, but like the poster above me said. It's more than just going to school. To get into the business you need to be driven, more so than talented. You need to know how to make connections and really market yourself. I definitely think NYF will give you a good jumping off platform though.

Sometimes I feel that people who want to act should go to liberal arts schools and get BA along with acting training. In case it doesn't work out you'll have something to fall back on.

Actually you might want to try and get into UCLA's film program if you can afford out of state tuition. You're bound to make better contacts and you'll already be in California.

It's not as easy as that! It take a LOT of hard work, and often years.
