Okay, you old truck driver. When I was in my twenties I learned to drive and to change my own tires. I even started an auto mechanics class and changed my oil, learned about carbuerators, and how you could sometimes get a car started that way, by taking them off and letting extra air in. And I even got my cousin's lawn mower started just thinking if it worked on one it might work on the other. I learned to change a battery and I really enjoyed it all, but then my dad bought me a new car and I figured it was in too good of condition for me to mess with.

Now, cars are so complicated, and I'm a lot older, and we women, especially, have pretty much been warned not to get out of a car if you get stuck because of predators on the highways, but I just wanted you to know, that I'm definitely a city gal, but when I had the chance I learned and did what I could on my own.

Why do country folks have no clue on how to use an escalator. Every time i go to a subway i see some country guy being afraid to get on and then afraid to get off.
It simple: step on , step off.

Because there's the facility of towtrucks, literally a call away. It's a matter of convenience. And most city people aren't really bothered to learn how to handle such emergencies.

It is better to have someone who knows what they are doing with a flat tire. My husband tried, the jack slipped and broke his knee cap. Sorry, I would rather pay the bucks.

Okay. It's just because they'd rather not get dirty by doing work themselves and get somebody else to do it.
