Nope. My point in participating in Yahoo Answers is to help out as often as I can. I generally only click into questions that either catch my interest, or ask about something I know. Once in a long while, I can't resist the temptation to respond to a question that is sooooo naive, or downright stupid. In those cases, I go for the wise guy answer.

I see some points on the leader board that are ridiculously high. I have no idea how one can get so many points, so, rather than get all competitive on those points, I try to improve my "stats." That is, I try to raise my percentage of "best answers." Without trying to compare myself against those high point leaders, I get a great satisfaction seeing my "personal best" go from 10% to around 14% or 15% "best" answers.

Plus, I find my points move up pretty fast. I've been on Yahoo Answers for just over 2 months, and I am approaching level 5. My points gain is much more rapid, now that I am more selective at which question I click into.

Now THAT"S fun.

NO... you are under no obligation to answer any future questions from someone who gave you 10 points for a best answer. You don't even need to thank them because, if they are like me, they will have forgotten the whole thing and won't have a clue what you are talking about.

No. I answer the questions that I feel I can help people with regardless of the 10 points.

No but I do look to see what other questions they have answered and try to answer questions better so people will want to pick my answer as the best one.

Nope! I usually scroll for sensible questions and ones that I know the answers to. Sometimes I cannot resist the racist and biased askers though.

I would have to say "no". Although I am grateful for the 10pts, I do like to answer a variety of questions from different catagories.

I find that I answer the questions that peak my interest or that I feel I have some insight on... if it happens that it's the same person asking... then they really have some interesting things on their mind.

I've never done that. I choose the questions randomly and just answer them without knowing who asked it.
