The slope of a horizontal line is ZERO and the slope of a vertical line is UNDEFINED.

A horizontal line has a slope which is the number zero. You might be
familiar with the standard "slope/intercept" form of the equation of a
line y = mx+b where m stands for the slope. If you use zero for m you just get y = b which is the standard form for a horizontal line.

A vertical line does not have a slope. It's not a question of not knowing what the slope is equal to; it doesn't exist. There isn't
one. That is what is meant by saying it has "undefined" slope.

90 degrees. Zero slope = zero over any number, so it would be horizontal on a graph. Undefined slope = any number over zero, which is supposedly a mathematically impossible equation to solve. At any rate, undefined slope is vertical on a graph.

Vertical lines have undefined slope. Horizontal lines have zero slope.

Think of it in terms of climbing a hill. A hill with zero slope (a horizontal line) requires zero upward effort to climb. A hill with undefined slope (a vertical line) is impossible to climb, and therefore has an undefined slope.

90degrees. slope is tan (angle ofthe line measured thru the horizontal line).
tan0 = 0 (u get 0 slope)
tan90degree = undefined (u get un defined slope)

i hope u know the trignometric expression tan..
