i'm a senior in high school and we read the book a couple of months ago and liked it, although the themes brought up in there are "deep," i really enjoyed reading it. i just wanna see how many people liked it.

I read Beowulf. Cool story.

I think you will enjoy The Story of Gilgamesh.

Yep read both grendel and Beowulf, someone mentioned Gilgamesh, the first book ever recorded, all three an adventure

I'm also a senior, and we have it as a 'required summer reading' for when school starts back up again. I've only gotten through a few pages though, but it seems okay.

I read it and it made me want to read more such stories. I also read Beowulf and later I read Eaters of the dead which they made into a movie. The thirteenth warrior.

yes i had to read it for my senior english class. I thought it was good it seems like a simple story but there is more to it than it seems.

I read it back in school too, but I couldn't get into it. Its good you liked it though, spreads your horizons a little bit I think.
