The Israeli military machine is one of the best equipped in the world. Check it out in Janes Weekly, for instance. Each year the US sends it about 5 billion dollars worth of equipment and support. The UK government sells it about £200 million pounds worth. They also produce their own military equpment. All israeli male and females are trained warriors, except for a small percentage who are excused for religious reasons and those who arrived there too old for the draft. Lebanon has not yet recovered from the last onslaught and occupation by the Israelis. For the Lebanese to fight such a formidable war machine in conventiional ways would result in automatic defeat, worse slaughter and worse false propaganda. When an aggressive enemy with overwhelming fire power attacks, guerrilla resistance may be the only possible way to defend. If your village were attacked, would you fight back? Would this make you HizbUllah? If you had your weapons ready in case of attack would this make you a terrorist or HizbUllah? Are not the majority of HizbUllah, which means "Party of God", not ordinary Lebanese who are in the right because they are trying to defend their own families and land against an aggressive neighbour? If you were Lebanese I think you would most likely have seen it differently.
