It means that beauty is what you see with your own eyes. Not what someone else thinks is beautiful.

two people can look at one person but see something different, like one sees that she is ugly and the one beautiful.

It's like- some girls don't like guys like me but some girls do- or - love is blind. Different people see beauty in different ways.

i think that it means that whether or not something is beatiful depends on the person looking at the something. i think this guy that i know is totally hot but everyone else thinks he is just ok. it all depends on you. you get what im saying???

that person may be ugly to you but not your friend. because in his eyes the person is beautiful as is.
