I'm looking for the best graphics card and motherboard out there that will also EASILY allow for upgradability. ATI or NVIDIA? What series?

Nvidia GeForce (thehigher the no. the better) and ASUS (the more expensive the better.) Yes, you need a motherboard with PCI-E. My ASUS doesn't have one but I'm not a serious gamer.

ATI's are faster (the best ones) but their graphics aren't as good. It's your choice.

fastest nvidia graphics card:
Nvidia GeForce 7950 GX2 [2 underclocked 7900gtx's glued together]

fastest ati video card:
ATI Radeon x1950xtx (coming August 27th) [an overclocked x1900xtx w/ gddr4 memory]

if you get the nvidia option, make sure u get a motherboard that supports SLI (preferably the newer 5xx series). if you get the ati option, make sure you get a motherboard that supports crossfire (a newer version is coming soon).

graphics card do not upgrade . any way ATI is top of the chart for the moment . Asus on motherboard .

Here's a place where you can do some research/look for a card. Get a mobo with PCI Express.

the easiest way to find out is to read reveiws and find compatiblity for ur machine not all garphic card work well on all machines
