I don't think there was any alien involvement at the Roswell incident. For one thing, the existence of an advanced alien species is very improbable. That such a species would be advanced enough to travel to Earth, and yet still crash on our planet, is even more improbable.

That's not to say it was impossible, but much more likely explanations exist. A lot of military research is conducted in the southwestern U.S., especially aircraft. Whatever crashed in Roswell was probably an advanced aircraft prototype, and not a weather balloon.

The initial "alien" explanation given was probably just a cover by the U.S. military. During the Cold War, it was probably better to have people buzzing over a potential alien conspiracy than actually looking into the practical research being conducted in the area.

I've also heard another interesting theory for the alien explanation initially given at Roswell. It is suggested that the entire event was intentionally orchestrated by the government to make the Soviet Union wonder if we really WERE in contact with extraterrestrials. This distraction would potentially throw Soviet science and intelligence into a fruitless search for alien civilizations, and help the U.S. take the lead in technology.

I don't know if I believe that explanation either, but it's an interesting possibility nonetheless.

Nah, not really. I actually was at Roswell and ended up leaving with the same "man, this is some seriously kitschy fun" kinda feeling that you have when you go to a wax museum. I think that it is as much fun to believe that the Roswell incident happened as that Superman, Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy exist :-)

So..lets put it this way. There are governments of different countries, who have come forward and released their classified information on UFOs. Simply putting it..admitting to their existance. There are heads of military who have come forward... There are former men who trained all their lives to go to space that have come forward and admitted to their encounters with UFOs while in space...There is an endless list of high ranking officials and prominent people of stature..all the way down to the average person on this planet.

What is it you people want?
..An alien thrown on a slab right in front of you???

They have been here for the ENTIRE RECORDED HISTORY of mankind the evidence is everywhere...

Whats the question?...who are they? ..where are they from?...why are they here?....nooo...its...are they real?....of course they are real!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! ...oh..by the way...one of those men that trained to go to the moon...and was the 2nd to set foot on it..Buzz Aldron..he has a vid...take a peek http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6647204125621625190
