i need to know the distance...?

is ONE-TENTH OF A MILE close to or equivalent to 300 or 400 yards?

1 mile = 1760 yards.

1 tenth of a mile (.1 miles) equals 176 yards.

176 yards is a little bit more than half of 300 yards, I would not call that equivalent, or even close.

1/10 of a mile is 528 feet which is 176 yards.

one tenth of a mile appears further off while going back home to face the wife, but400yards appear closer while going to meet the girlfriend
