See I have on that goes from the top of my outer thigh to the top of my knee. And its is really ugly, although it does look a bit like a lightning bolt.

Try Mederma for scars. If used often then it will lighten it a lot. You can get it at Wal Mart or any other pharmacy. It works and it is suggested by doctors.

I used Vitamin E to minimize a scar on my face. It worked really well. Just buy a bottle of Vitamin E capsules (a regular supplement that you would swallow). Instead of swallowing them, use something small, like a safety pin, to make small hole in the capsule. The fluid inside is concentrated vitamin E - it has a shiny/sticky consistency so you might not want to do it right before you go somewhere. I would put it on about twice a day, leaving time for it to absorb into the skin.

I have a lot of scars, and find the over the counter products don't do squat.

Short of having a cosmetic surgeon reopen and try to stitch it back together cleaner, there's not much you can do. I do use Dermablend body make-up on mine when I really want to cover it.

Try eating Vitamin E.

Or applying Vitamin E Oil Serum.

Or just crack the Vitamin E capsule and use the oil in it to apply directly on your scars.
