There are a lot of things that I question when it comes to the so called 'New World Order' conspiracy. On occasion the conspiracy theorists make an interesting point, but to go to the extent to say that only a handful of people control the entire planet economically or otherwise seems to be an improbability. The reason being, someone ALWAYS talks if they are involved with a conspiracy. The reason I don't believe the 9/11 conspiracies is because it would involve so many people and not everyone would be able to keep their mouths shut. Examples on the other side of this coin would be Deep Throat and The Uni-bomber. I think their identities stayed secret for so long because they were conspiracies of one.

Yes, but this is happening very slowly so that most people don't notice and aren't even aware of this yet. Think about it - the euro was a huge step in the direction towards a one world currency and government. Things are happening behind the scenes and most people are not watching how things are falling together. The UN is another big thing that shows that the world has been progressing in this direction. The advance of the internet, technology and satellite communications means anyone can be connected globally. It's like the theory of evolution. The world system is moving in this direction slowly. Except that with evolution, we haven't seen the progression actually happen - with politics there is a pattern and you can see the changes taking place like pieces falling into a puzzle.

Yes there is a New World Order it's a combination of those masses being controlled by force, blended with those living in democratic socities.....it's called the masses....
The trouble with Conspiracy Theory's is they can NEVER work, too many whistle blowers, bitter participants ready to turn or limelighters looking for fame and willing to talk to the media....conspiracies of any significance are just not possible simply due to human nature...

Not so much of a New World Order just the same old mechanism used since the beginning of time to control the masses and enrich the lives of already wealthy groups under the name of religion

Not in the sense you are talking about. There is a conspiracy, but it is a conspiracy of money and special interests. Insurance companies, oil companies, drug manufacturers, chemical companies, all have lobbists who bribe senators and congressmen to vote in such a way that their bottom lines never go down. They always make money. In this way, money and special interest groups are manipulating world affairs. There is no Illuminati, though.

the new world order came to be when the Soviet Union lost its place of power as an almost equal with the USA

China is growing though, which will create a new new world order

I believe there are several factors controlling the world right now, and not many of them are very positive:
1. The oil industry (incl OPEC nations).
2. Corrupt elected officials.
3. Religious extremist wackos (incl. those in the US like Pat Robertson)
As long as people put up with this, it will continue...
