I need to relieve some stress, and relax. Any suggestions of what I can do to pamper myself or relieve some stress while pregnant (I'm 21 weeks along). I'm looking for safe ways. Thank you!

Take it easy on yourself. You don't have to strain yourself just because "other" people think you should be doing things faster. Take things slowly. This is a good way to handle things while you're pregnant. Get lots of rest, too. Sleep is the best when you're pregnant. I slept a lot when I was pregnant with my son, and never regretted it. You need it to help your little person to grow, not to mention for your own sanity.

If you're working, that's probably the best thing for you, because that'll make you active. That's one of the best things to do when you're pregnant, to get regular activity. And give yourself a manicure, or go to a salon for a mani/pedi, and a new haircut. That's great for stress relief. It's called "hair therapy." Believe me, it works. Try reading a good novel, or baking a pie. Just engaging in some activity to take your mind off your troubles will work wonders. Good luck.

I don't know. I've never been pampered once in my life. When I was pregnant with our twins I was still doing 99% of the housework and cooking and taking care of a two year old and four year old. Do you know what it's like trying to bathe a 2 and 4 year old in a tub when your 8 months pregnant with twins? How fun!!

Go for a walk if you have a good place to do so, nothing strenuous. Take a bath with aromatherapy candles and music. Rest and read a book, watch your fave movie. Play music on your tummy. Get a pregnancy massage, they have special chairs for you. Get a manicure and pedicure, pretty soon you won't be able to reach your feet. Go to the park and lay in the shade of the trees and nap or read or people watch.

When I was pregnant the best things I could do is get a foot message or a back message it relaxes your muscles and takes some of the pressure off the places that are feeling your pregnancy the most. Try water aerobics for pregnant ladies when your in the water it takes the weight off of your body and you just float and relax while getting a safe exercises at the same time.

yes the sex is a good one.

You hav eno idea until you do it, but breathing excersises are amazing. I had an extremly stressful day the other day. Right in the middle I took a time out and went to a dark room and just took deep breaths ...in....out...in...out.

People always tell me to do it and I was always like do you know how silly that sounds. Now I know. it work wonders. That and warm dark baths with candles. Do the at the same time!

All the above sound great.
Also have you tried pregnancy yoga, pilates or just going for a swim. Its relaxing, will help you sleep and help keep muscles toned.
I think the best thing though would be a good foot rub!

There are specioal pregnancy massages. You get them at the regular massage places but they don't go so deep for pregnant women. They feel so good and really relax you.
