looks like every question with the exception of your first one looks to stir up controversy. I would find a better outlet for your anger. Maybe even get a therapist.

As far as met one, my father (I'm personally very liberal). I've heard others talk though. There is John McCain, Colin Powell, and Joe Leiberman (I know he says he's a democrat, but he seems to be the only one who doesn't realize he's a republican). Joe Leiberman may not be the most charismatic guy around, but he has intelligence, and the other two are very intelligent and I agree with them on a lot of issues. I say Condoleeza Rice is also very intelligent, but I don't agree with her nearly as much; but that doesn't make her stupid, we just don't agree.
But truth is you could ask the same for the democrats and get just as few answers as I gave for Republicans. Hilary Clinton and Ted Kennedy are smart, though I don't always agree with either of them either. John Edwards is nothing to laugh at either and I support him much more than the other two. But politicians are stuck in a complicated situation in which the right answer is almost never the popular one. That is because the right answer is always in the middle ground, but Republicans always think it too liberal and Democrats always think it too conservative and so no one supports what is usually the right answer.

This I know for a fact. Republicans have more knowledge of US History, politics and the Constitution than any liberal, anywhere. In general I always used to believe that most Democrats were at least reasonably intelligent but, judging by the questions on this site, I am beginning to believe there aren't any intelligent democrats at all.

i've got met many clever republicans as nicely as democrats. What i come across relaxing this is that any one with even the slightest little bit of intelligence could see how imbecilic and infantile your question rather is. you're being "elementary" and "honest" once you state which you have have been given on no account met a single republican with ANY intelligence? in elementary terms vanity, cowardice, bitterness, anger or lack of information? You do understand that by utilising making this form of blanket assertion approximately one specific team of human beings, you're showing your authentic colorations? i presumed you have been a member of the social gathering of attractiveness, expertise and inclusion?

I have met plenty of intelligent Republicans. Although I have to say that the intelligent ones only have some core Republican beliefs, but they don't support their party on every issue, and don't necessarily love the president.

Yes, many. I have also met intelligent Democrats. The difference between the two is actually not intelligence, but it is the difference between feelings and logic. Republicans(or conservatives) are logical, while Democrats(or liberals) are feeling.

Nope, sorry I can not say that I have but I do have a cute story for you.
A first grade teacher in the Midwestis explaining to her class that she is a Republican and how nice it is that a new Republican president has taken office. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Republicans and support George Bush. Everyone in class raises their hands except one little girl. "Mary," says the teacher with surprise, "why didn't you raise your hand?" Because I'm not a Republican," says Mary. "Well, what are you?" asks the teacher. "I'm a Democrat and proud of it," replies the little girl. The teacher cannot believe her ears. "My goodness, Mary, why are you a Democrat?" she asks. “Well, my momma and papa are Democrats, so I'm a Democrat, too." "Well," says the teacher in an annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a Democrat. You don't always have to be like your parents. What if your momma was a criminal and your papa was a criminal, too, what would you be then?" "Then," Mary smiled, "then we'd be Republicans."

Question: Would you recognize intelligence if you ran into it? Many people, unfortunately, go and react to the "label" and miss the person and the ideas being expressed. I'm certain there is inteligence on both sides but the "politics" and "spin" and the "creative and biased media" get in the way!

Yup, there are lots of intelligent Republicans. I don't know how they reconcile their Republicanism with their reason, but somehow it works for some people. I just talk about other things with them - they might know a lot about chemistry or how to build a cabin or how to set up a computer or lots of other things - they just don't use their brains for politics.

No I haven't, but my father-in-law is coming around, the other night he told me he'll never vote Republican again. That's coming from someone who has voted strictly Republican his whole life. The stupidity and mistakes of our current administration has poisoned him against the Republicans, lets hope that's happening to more people.
Please note, the one person on here saying all of us "dimocrats" need to get our heads out of our... She's just proving the point, she can't spell and she can't form an intelligent sentence.
