I had this problem for about a year. I kept complaining to my gynecologist and all she did was give me pain meds. Finally, I found a new gynecologist and she ran several tests, did an MRI, did a DNC, and several ultrasounds. She found that I had fibroids on my uterus. I had them removed about a month ago and I have felt a lot better ever since. Still some pain because I'm still healing but not like it used to be.

Yes, i think it happens to a lot of girls, i usually get cramps, not horrible ones but slight ones when i'm about to start thats how i know i'm starting and then they'll continue through my period. Its all the fun of being a girl!;-) but if they are severe pains and to you they dont feel normal head over to your doctor, you may have something wrong or she may just be able to give you some medicine or put you on birth control to help control your cramps! Hope everything goes okay!

The period is so crazy a female cant even understand the complete capabilities of there own period. They can come and go and wait until the last minute to come. They can even hide for a couple of months (very scaryy!!!!!!!!!). The can even come more than once and ruin the entire month!!!

It's worth running that question by your gynecologist to make sure that you don't have endometriosis or some other underlying condition. If you do have endo. or even just primary dysmenorrhea (fancy word for bad cramps), they can prescribe you something much better than Tylenol for the pain and something to help you with any other underlying conditions.
