You will need a aftermarket intake manifold that has four ports. Then four single carburetors. This makes the engine breath. There won`t be a mustang that will be able to touch you. Also a larger exhaust pipe. The key is to get the engine to breath the best you can. Nitrous will work but you will need a new engine in a month if you use that.

Dear Eor,

Push it off a sheer cliff.

Seriously, I would be concerned that an engine that old would not take any serious tuning without kickback. Look on Ebay Motors to see if anyone is offering parts for it such as a turbocharger, etc.

There are clubs that you can join to do street racing. They can help you trick it out.

Try streetracinggallery.com as a starting point.

Where do you get parts for the bugger?

My wife has a '71 and parts are a biitch to get!

(While it's an '80 and not a '72, this should work about as well for your year too.)
