the worst day was when i was told i had lung cancer, best day is when i was told i was cancer free.

The best day was when my son graduated from high school
The worst was when a child ran right in front my car and I couldn't stop in time. Thank goodness all that happened was he got a broken leg.

The worst day of my life was finding my mother when she had passed away.
The best day was when my daughter almost got run over in a very, VERY near car accident. Let me emphasise ALMOST.
I would have been devastated if she had been taken from me so soon after losing my Mother, her wonderful Nana, and thank God he considered her too precious to simply waste. That incident shook me out of my suicidal grief.
