What is worst? An emotionally high maintenance woman or financially high maintenance woman?

One that drains the life out of you or the one the drains the life out of your bank account?

Emotionally high maintenence is far worse. If you're broke, the worst thing she can do is leave and money can be saved up again; if she wrecks your mind and ruins your self-esteem, you're screwed for life.

I have a friend who is both... and her life is full of high drama on a daily basis. It began when she married a guy who was married twice before and she took up with him while he was still married.
They both were spendthrifts, cheated on each other then divorced with no money, no kids. She inherited a great deal of money, etc., but "needed" a male figure in her life. Now she's is repeating the same process once again, wiped out her accounts to the point she can barely pay her mortgage and this relationship too is now on a downward spiral after 7 years. So, she has spent all her time, money and effort...for what? She is considered smart, (but not in this area obviously) worked all her life and can't retire early as she's entitled to cuz of debt. She is not a happy woman, has spent years in counselling (on and off). Try as I may I have spoken to her and she agrees but can't seem to change her direction... she is emotionally "male dependent."
There is a cure...but sometimes people can't take the medicine.
I fear for her. So my answer my friend in neither. Find someone with both oars in the water. Good luck.

I would say one that drains the life out of you. You can always make more money.

I don't know how men get so emotionally drained, how hard is it to be nice and caring? Really, it's not.

What is worse..a boyfriend who lets you do whatever you want and doesn't care or one so controlling you need permission to go to the bathroom...total disinterest or complete domination? Obviously women are not the only ones with emotional problems
