From time to time, people post here that they are seriously considering suicide. Most of you answer with concern - but there are several who will answer suicide posts with just pure hatred. One person even sent a list of ways for the person to kill him or herself. WTF?????? What if YOU were that person not wanting to live? Would you want some heartless jerk telling YOU to just go the nearest cliff and jump off? Some of you people make me totally sick. Life is not a joke. For those of you who respond with caring and try to offer hope to people who post with thoughts of suicide - thank you.

Don't get angry matey, feel sad for them. You know the saying what go's around comes around. We all should think b4 we speak, but there's lot's here more broken than the broken if you get my drift. Sad lonely people that get pleasure out of the torment of others, oh and a measure of very sick minded puppies too. Keep that kind heart u have through what ever life may throw at you. A light in what sometimes seems a very dark tunnel, here on this element of communication to the world. Cheers from Aussieland!

I am one of the people that would answer with concern. But I also believe that everyone think about suicide once or twice in their lives. But a person that is really going to do it, wouldn't ask for advice. Even if you gave them advice they wouldn't listen. And we all know how people are on here. A person that is asking about suicide expects some answers like that. They are looking more towards the ones that make them feel important though. They are scared and frustrated. But they don't want to die. Don't worry about it. Keep doing what you are doing and everything will be fine.

I comfort myself when confronted with this kind of behavior by reminding myself that many if not the vast majority of people on this site are 14 and under. The adults who answer that way are usually men, at home or at work net surfing during the day, maybe drunk or stoned, who knows. I have faith that most right thinking adults answer compassionately.
I think there is also a certain defensiveness to people's thinking, that no one who was truly serious about killing themselves would post a question on Yahoo! Answers. A lot of people believe that if you're serious about killing yourself, you wouldn't tell anyone. This isn't actually true, but people don't know that.
And then there's the other possibility, that people just suck.

Some people are smart enough to realize that people posting here are mainly looking for attention, not serious.
If you want help becsue you are thinking of ending your life, I don't think Yahoo is the first place you'd go.
Some people have a sick sense of humor.
Are you the one that posted about suicide and someone answered you with the list?
Call a hotline if you feel like you have no one to talk to.

I totally agree with you! I also hate those people that tongue and cheek their questions regarding child rearing by insinuating abuse, while so many children in this world are being raped, abused, harmed, killed.
Case in point--the famous rockstar who in a British interview was said he locks his kid in the closet when the child gets bothersome. The rockstar got investigated by Social Services and got a warning about his cheeky comment over the radio.

U misunderstand. The point of this site is to help people out. If someone wants to die then why should i stop them. In fact i am in favor of freedom and choice and would be honored to help someone make their dreams come true. When someone tells me they would like to commit suicide i get excited at the opportunity to help. My motto = "You only die once let me give you a hand". Suicide is an alternative.
