Turek played the majority of the two seasons before that, with Jamie McLennan serving as his backup before Johnson arrived.
In 1998-99, Fuhr played 39 games to McLennan's 33, and he was also the starter in 1997-98.

CuJo.. Detroit and St. Louis' goalies always seem to be linked..
I always thought Vince Riendeau would do well in Detroit.. of course, felt the same about Osgood in St. Louis, the Blue's last goalie to start more than 40 games in net..
Blues will like Legace.. he's a good goalie.. very solid..
