I am not sure if the gay man could get enough votes with todays society and the excon depending on his crimes and if he has lost his right to vote probably can't even run for the office

I don't see what's wrong w/ an honest man and what his sexuality has to do w/ u or the country. I wouldn't exactly go for the x-con w/o knowing what he did. But If people don't like the fact that that person is gay or an x-con they just shouldn't vote for them. But it should have to do w/ the issues and what they can do for our counrty and how they can pick it up from the mess Bush is making us.

How do you know we haven't already had a gay man as president? There were stories about Lincoln. And weren't a couple of presidents unmarried?
As for the ex-con, it depends on what he did. If he got thrown in jail for protesting the war in the 1960, I have no problem. At least it shows he has conviction of ideals.

y not a gay man!! i don't think an ex con though!! only because being an ex con can keep you from doing a lot of things. it can keep you from Even getting government help like housing and financial assistance or even becoming a cop. if you cant even become a cop for being an ex con i don't think being the next president is ever going to happen!! i would like to see an Hispanic, black or anybody of color!! please!!

I def think a gay man should be allowed to become president, as for an ex con, it really depends on the offence and when it was commited. if they shoplifted at 19 then i think they'll have grown up enough to run ten years later.

Most certainly a gay man, and as for an ex-con, it depends on how serious the crime was that they had committed in their past. We all make mistakes in life.

A convicted felon can serve as president. I do not think that this country will ever sink so low as to elect a gay man as president.
