How long after taking birth control pills do they become effective? can u get pregnant while on the pill?

usualy you have to take them for a month before they become effective...so I would continue wearing a condom

It should say in the package insert at what point you can stop using a condom while on the pill. My doctor told me to continue using extra protection until I completed one full package of pills... then I was fully protected.
If you use the pill properly (take it at the same time every day), it's nearly 100% effective!

You should take it for at least a month before getting active in sex.
And yes you can become pregnant while on the pill but that's really rare.
