The oil prices get high at the world's markets because there is a war in Iraq, a war in Lebanon, a communist prick is a head of Venesuella and some dumb comandos destroying oil pipe lines in Africa. However, remember that the head of U.S. is the guy who's family built it's fortune on oil and keeps getting the money from it. He will not cut his own profits. Exxon/Mobil posted the highest ever for any company profits last year - so high that they were surpirsed themselves. Did anyone tried to regulate them?
Prices in Europe are still higher - this is true. But Europe does not have it's own oil (except Russia) and we do.

Gas is high because the oil lobby has bought off enough politicians from both parties that they won't do anything about it, so the oil companies are gouging us as much as they can.

I think they finally realized, oil is a non replaceable commodity, that WILL run out one day. They know we are captive buyers who MUST buy their product. Hybred cars are the cars of the future and our tastes must change no matter how ugly and slow they are we must go C.O.D.
Change or Die.
Where are the minds of all the people buying SUV with gas going and going, and going up?

Fuel is Getting Consumed day by day..........and making the oily earth Emptied......Consumption Of gas has been increased 10 times more approx fram the past 5 years...........so to make ppl understandable dat gas or fuel s not a child's toy so to play and through uselessly............and all the oil banks left towards middle east area........dts y..........it s been increasin' day by day

because the supply of oil in the world is running out and to still earn money they raise their prices. The amount of oil used to be very large but now we are almost totaly out and thats why they are trying to figure out what else to make gas out of for example vegetables, water, and other substances. because we the people allow it. i'd like to see everyone go on strike no gas no lights no phone, no t.v. and cell phones.
how bad would the big rigs be hurting then
ever thought of that, bet the price would come down

Because we keep buying it! Want to see gas prices fall, don't drive unless you HAVE to.
